Eccentric English art collector Edward James (1907-1984) began construction in 1949 on what was to be a life-long pursuit - a surreal city, deep in the jungles of Mexico, called Las Pozas. The project remained unfinished at his death, but it still stands at Xilitla, and can be visited and explored.
